☀️ Summer 2025 CodeWarriors Code Camps
Planning is underway for our January school holiday camps.

After an amazing Spring 2025, we’re preparing the next round of CodeWarriors Code Camps for the Summer 2025 break (January).

Locations we’re planning

• Norwest / Hills District (Sydney)
  Our main Sydney camp hub — continuing hands-on coding for young creators.

• Bungendore / East Canberra
  We loved the energy and support from local families (and The Carrington Inn). We’re working to confirm dates to come back in January.

• Blue Mountains (new)
  🏔️ We’re currently exploring a Blue Mountains venue for a small-group camp. If you’re local and interested, please keep an eye out — details coming soon.

In addition to our public holiday camps, we’re also exploring the option to run a small, private on-site code camp for a single organisation’s staff and their children. If that sounds like something your workplace would be interested in, please contact us.

What the camps include

At CodeWarriors, students learn real coding skills using tools professional developers use:

• Python
  Build interactive “shop” projects, work with variables and logic, and see code respond instantly.

• Godot Game Engine (2D game dev)
  Make playable games, control characters, add sound, and design levels.

• Creative problem-solving & teamwork
  We mix screen time with “unplugged” challenges so students learn to think like engineers, not just follow steps.

Our programs are taught by experienced software developers and supported by trained high school mentors.

Who it’s for

• Ages: typically School Years 4–6 (Junior) and Years 7–9 (Teen).
  We’re moving toward running separate groups so students can work at the right level and pace.

• No experience required.
  We’ll guide complete beginners, and we’ll also challenge returning/advanced students with extension work.

When can I register?

Dates and registrations for Summer 2025 are not open yet — we’re currently confirming venues, capacity, and staffing.

Safety

All adult instructors hold valid Working With Children Checks.
High school mentors assist and support younger coders, with close adult supervision at all times.
