Summer 2025 CodeWarriors Code Camps
Join us for a summer of hands-on coding adventures! Our CodeWarriors Code Camps return this January with programs designed to spark creativity, build real coding skills, and inspire the next generation of young developers.
Whether your child is starting their first line of code or already building games, there’s a camp to suit every level — across four NSW locations.
Locations
We're returning to our very first CodeWarriors camp location, in the Hills Shire Council building at Norwest.
Many helicopters have been designed and launched here (and quite a few redesigned!)

We're very excited to be returning to our favourite Southern Tablelands town and our favourite venue at the Carrington Inn. Quite a few code warriors (and a wind dragon and a corgi) came out of our Spring camp here and we're looking forward to see them again!
Our Bungendore Code camp is planned for

This is a new location for us in 2026! We’re planning a camp at the Blaxland Community Centre, right next to the library. Looking for mountain code warriors!
Our Blue Mountains Code camp is planned for

Another new location this year — we’re planning a camp at a Western Sydney University lab in Richmond, during the final week of January. Please note that, with the Australia Day public holiday, this will be a shorter 4-day intensive program (Tue–Fri).

Camp Programs
At all locations, camps follow the same flexible structure: two days for new coders, three days for returning or experienced coders, and a full-week option for those who want the complete experience.
2 days – Code Foundations
A fast-paced introduction for new coders, typically students in Years 4–6 (in 2026). Students learn the fundamentals of coding and logic through Python and creative mini-projects that build confidence and spark curiosity. This program is ideal for children who have never coded before or who have only used block-based coding tools such as Scratch.
3 days – Creative Coders
For returning CodeWarriors, high-school students, or anyone already comfortable with basic coding. This program focuses on game development using Godot, including animation, physics, and storytelling through code.
5 days – From Beginner to Builder
The full-week experience combines both programs — start with Python, then build on those skills to create a playable game by the end of the week.
Which CodeWarriors Program is Right for My Child?
(All year levels refer to your child’s school year in 2026)
| Child's year (in 2026) | Recommended Program |
|---|---|
| Year 2 or below | Not quite ready for our camps yet — we focus on longer, more structured coding sessions. |
| Year 3 | If they’re mature, patient, and show strong interest in coding 👉 Code Foundations |
| Years 4-7 | If they’re new to coding or have only block coding experience, start with 👉 Code Foundations (And if they love it at the end of 2 days, then you may like to extend to the next 3 days). If they attended a camp before or have done real coding (Python, Godot, etc.) 👉 Choose Creative CodersOr if they are very keen for the full 5-day experience 👉 Choose From Beginner to Builder |
| Years 8-10 | 👉 Creative Coders — ideal for building projects and exploring advanced ideas |
| Years 10-12 | If they are keen coders they may be ready to 👉 join our Mentors team (paid role) — see Hiring page! |
💬 Still unsure? Call or email us — we’re happy to discuss your child’s interests and recommend the best fit.
BYOD – Bring Your Own Device
Bring your own Windows or Mac Laptop, or your own Raspberry Pi 5. Note: please check the FAQ below for specifications and setup requirements for personal devices.
PP5 – Purchase a PI5 (Raspberry Pi)
Build and program your own Raspberry Pi 5 computer, then take it home at the end of camp! The PP5 option includes a complete Raspberry Pi 5 kit, carefully selected for reliability and compatibility with our camp projects, and provided for each student to use and keep.
CD - Camp Device (limited availability)
For students who don’t have access to a laptop and prefer not to purchase a Pi 5, we have a limited number of Camp Devices available for use during camp.
Note: We use a lot of pair-based learning. If two friends or family members attend together they can share a single laptop or Pi.
